Your data, kept simple

This notice explains how I, Alex Martino, author and owner of alexmartinoescribe.com, use the personal data you share through this website. I only collect what I need and I never sell or rent it.
What I collect
- Newsletter: your first name and email address.
- Jenkins Early Readers: your first name, email, country, the Amazon store you use, where you share reviews, your profile or handle and anything you choose to write in the form.
- Contact form: your name, email and message.
Why I use it
- To send you the newsletter, the free excerpt and launch news, when you have asked for them.
- To select and contact Early Readers and send advance copies.
- To answer your messages.
The legal basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box on each form. You can withdraw it at any time.
Who helps me
The website and its emails are hosted by Hostinger, and newsletter subscribers are managed with Hostinger Reach. If you are selected as an Early Reader, your name and email may be used to deliver your advance copy through a book delivery service. These providers only process your data on my behalf.
How long I keep it
Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe. Early Readers applications are kept until the end of the launch campaign (31 March 2027), unless you also joined the newsletter. Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to reply.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or stop receiving emails, at any time. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link, or write to contact@alexmartinoescribe.com. If you are unhappy with how your data is handled, you can complain to your local data protection authority; in the Netherlands, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
